“The actions of the club over the past two and a half years have always been in good faith and that can never be doubted. A squad without future was inherited, and has been completely renewed with it today including a number of talents aged between 17 and 24.
Mr Becchetti did not like the fan protests because at the beginning of the season everyone, supporters included, praised the club for their summer transfer business. Thereafter Mr Becchetti doesn’t play on Saturday.

I think that my absence due to ill health could have had some negative effect, but I believe even further that the absence of Mr Becchetti during the last three months has had a more negative impact on the squad. His personal business did not allow him to be close to the team, when he would usually come to the training ground every Friday and to the games on a Saturday. Mr Becchetti has a great charisma and the players definitely feel his absence.
We are fully confident that we will remain in the Football League come the end of the season but if relegation was to unfortunately happen we will keep our current policy in place of promoting and showing faith in young players."

Yes that's very strange.fuck knows why the Italian bought them. I personally would like to see Orient doing well, regardless of the plum Barry Hearn.

It's the Orient fans who have my sympathy. They are fans of their club just like we are of ours and what is going on they are powerless to change.

I like Barry Hearn.
And while I don't care one iota about Leyton Orient Football Club, as with Millwall, I don't want to see them out of the football league, or worse still, out of business.

I hope they get sorted. Barry Hearn was a fucking nuisance pantomime act for a while, but the O's are a good old club, and fuck knows what the current owner's agenda in buying them was.

once upon a time i liked the Orient used to get over there as a kid quite a bit ,was there the night they nearly made the big time against Aston Villa , but over these last few years they have done nothing other than moan about us yes us ! the club that used to fill their ground every pre season for friendlies , now fuck them let them go cap in hand to their fucking mates at Spurs .

Used to like Orient also until Barry Hearn started giving it the "Poor little us" bollocks when we got the Olympic Stadium. Not been over there since, I know a lot of Orient supporters and as someone said earlier in the thread I would not want them going out of business.

Hearn lost all credibility when he supported Levy's plan to demolish the stadium and build another. His arguments thereafter had no logic as it was a third team coming into the area. The man was a bought mouthpiece for the front wheelers like so many of these so called sports journalists.

Yeah the O's are our baby (irritating) brother - kinda like them. Their fans (both of them) aren't as stupid as Hearn was re the OS - 3500 on a Sat pm would have been a joke.
